Barbara King

Barbara King is a mixed media, installation artist who was born in Syracuse, NY.

She obtained her MFA from Hunter College and was recognized with the William Graft Award for her thesis show. Ms. King graduated from the University of Buffalo with a BFA in Printmaking and was the recipient of a Creative and Performing Arts Scholarship.

Ms. King’s first solo show “Decorations III” was exhibited in 2009 in the Narthex Gallery at Saint Peter’s Church in Manhattan. In 2016 “Ribbon Meditations” was her second solo show at the Narthex Gallery. Recently, solo exhibitions of her work have been presented at South Presbyterian Church, Dobbs Ferry, NY, as well as Andrus on Hudson, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, where she organized a group exhibition. Ms. King has been included in group exhibits at The Donald Gallery at South Presdyterian Church, Dobbs Ferry, NY, The Katonah Village Library, Katonah, NY, Gallery 66 NY in Cold Spring, NY, Blue Door Gallery in Yonkers, NY, The Orr Room at the Hastings-on-Hudson Public Library, and the Hastings-on-Hudson Village Hall Gallery.

Ms. King works from her studio in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY where she has lived for the past twenty five years and often finds inspiration for her art.
