Arlé Sklar-Weinstein

Arlé Sklar-Weinstein’s career spans over 50 years of prestigious exhibitions and installations, including numerous awards and review. She has exhibited extensively throughout New York, the Northeast and West Coast, with international exhibits in the Sakai City Museum, Japan, Paris, Fr., Niteroi, Brazil and Almeria, Spain.

Sklar-Weinstein held her first museum show, a retrospective called EVOLUTIONS, at the Hudson River Museum in the winter of 1970.
Her work has been selected for major internationally juried exhibitions, Since 1995, Arlé has pioneered photomontage transfers onto layers of cotton and organza, helping to create a new genre within the Studio Art Quilt movement.
Currently, Arlé is exploring Fiber Sculptural forms, relating to “measuring” natural elements: core samples through icebergs or rock, recording light and cloud movements, segments of worms, patterns on sea and land animals…or wherever imagination takes one.
