Artist statement:
As a painter, I focus on discovering relationships between colors, rhythms, forms, and space. I am a Plein-air painter, painting what I see, allowing for personal expression, not pursuing realism. I search to find the essence of place, express my experience, while understanding that this process can neverreally beĀ achieved, but is always evolving. My most important influences are Cezanne, Matisse, and Sargent. I painted in oil till around 2010, and now focus solely on watercolor.
