Jen Moore Smith
My work in all mediums is shaped by love of natural forms, surfaces with history, observed expression and spontaneous line. I work by painting, drawing, print making, and putting things together to solve something. Art making is work, and play. It is serious exploration and always a collaboration of materials and ideas.
I attended Rhode Island School of Design and further learned skills and materials on the job painting and finishing furniture for an antiques dealer in Rhode Island, and then installing finishes at Fresco Decorative painting in NYC. Currently I balance nurturing my family and growing my studio art practice here in Westchester.
